My post was very respectful of the fort, its history, and its potential future, such that it has one. Then again, I also have no idea why you're posting your comment underneath a fictional story with no relationship to Fort Bayard at all. Also, "City of Dust" is a reference to the red dirt of the city of Augusta, Georgia, where I used to live and where this blog started; the name has nothing to do with Fort Bayard.

However, I get the feeling you're not too concerned with facts. I'm only publishing your comment and responding because I just happen to have a few minutes to waste. You should be ashamed of yourself! Many a Courageous man and woman shed their blood for our freedom and if you can't appreciate that, then you need to be evaluated. Audie Murphy, America's most Decorated WWII U.S. Army Combat Soldier, was wounded in battle against the German's tank fleet and took out most of them all by himself. Just what does someone value if they can't first value the Freedoms they presently have in this nation.

It is Written:

'Greater gift hath no man than he lay down his life for his friends." Bayard Medical Center before you so ignorantly refer to it as a 'City of Dust!"

Really! I have previously done posts on HAGAN and COYOTE, both of which are a bit south of you. I need to stop and do Golden justice some day, too.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I live in Santa Fe; looking forward to reading about some local ghost towns. I passed it along to Jason and he got a real kick out of it. He said he remembers you guys taking the bus to go record shopping. Sounds like good times. I didn't know you hung out with Outcry. Land of 10,000 fakes!

Hey, if you have a moment and an Amazon account could you leave a review of the book? No big deal at all if you don't have an account or aren't in the mood, but I had to ask. People who know about these things assure me such reviews are very important!

Thanks again, and I added a DU link to CoD! (I should be so lucky to see a windigo. I'm probably more likely to see a chupacabra though.) Nice seeing this story with my usual check-in today...kind of like a bonus chapter, keep it going! I posted that Bombsite CD a few weeks back too with a short blurb about ya...hope you don't mind. Got yer' blog linked up at DU. Great stuff all around. Be sure and let us know if you ever run into the Windigo (slender man sort of creature--check on youtube) in any of those old abandoned places...ha ha ha
ViacomCMDViacomclosedmedown on youtubehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03189433263709439498noreply@blogger.com
